The cape is made from two layers of cotton: a black 400 g/m² outer fabric and a red 160 g/m² inner fabric.

The result is a thick, structured cape, with contrasting black and red outer and inner layers.

The Diablessa figure is sublimated onto a small piece of polyester, which is then embroidered and sewn onto the cape. The rest of the garment is made from 100% cotton.

A design inspired by the Diablesses de Mataró

We didn’t want to make a generic correfoc cape. The design is inspired by one of the best-known fire groups of Les Santes: the Diablesses de Mataró.

The black and red colours, horns, embroidered figure and flame on the back give the cape its own identity, recognisable both from a distance and in the smaller details.

Correfoc cape for children and adults

Unlike a cape designed only for young children, this model is available in three sizes for children, teenagers and adults.

• Small: approximately 3–6 years. 60 cm long from the nape of the neck to the bottom of the cape.
• Medium: approximately 7–9 years. 76.5 cm long.
• Large: approximately 10 years and over, up to adult. 1 metre long.

Ages are only a guide. To choose the right size, we recommend measuring from the nape of the neck to where you want the cape to finish and comparing this measurement with the three available lengths.

Is this correfoc cape flame-resistant?

No. This cape is not flame-resistant and has no flame-retardant treatment. It is made mainly from 100% heavyweight cotton, but any fabric can burn or become damaged when exposed to flames, sparks or sources of heat.

The cape is a garment for wearing at a correfoc and is not personal protective equipment (PPE). Always follow the safety rules and instructions of the organisers, keep the appropriate distance and wear suitable clothing and footwear.

How to wash the correfoc cape

• Wash at a maximum of 30 °C.
• Wash separately.
• Do not use bleach.
• Iron at a maximum of 150 °C.
• Do not iron directly over the embroidery or applications.

The cape is designed and made in Mataró. The Robafaves design takes inspiration from the clothing and imagery of the Diablesses to create a cape that can travel beyond Mataró and accompany children and adults to correfocs and local festivals throughout Catalonia.

Although the design was born in Mataró, this correfoc cape is made to be worn wherever fire and popular culture take to the streets.
